The backboard is made of blow-molded, high-density polyethylene, with a design that rebounds well while holding up to bricks and bad bounces. The rim is also sturdy, with a 5/8-inch solid steel frame, 1/2-inch steel braces, and a 50-gram net. And should the game get a little too easy or hard, you can adjust the hoop to a more accommodating height. The hoop--which sits a top a two-piece, 3-inch-diameter powder-coated steel pole--adjusts from 4 to 6.5 feet. Best of all, the poolside hoop is easy to move, so you can roll it wherever it fits best. For the first year hoop was excellent. After year one though product went down hill. started to rust horribly. rim started leaning and left a stain on the concrete. If you plan to only use it for a year I would get it anything over a year I would get another hoop.
